Augustus Wendell is an artist, educator, and researcher exploring computational media, AI, and critical infrastructure through creative practice. As Assistant Professor of the Practice at Duke University, he directs the Culture I/O Lab and co-directs the Arts Research Lab, creating work that spans motion capture performance, AI-driven installations, and museum informatics. His practice-based research examines how emerging technologies mediate visual culture, fostering collaborations across dance, archaeology, digital humanities, and experimental arts.
